This page will provide you with various links that have been found around the internet.
Have you ever seen the weather on the nightly news and they show the weather throughout the whole day? This is shown using TIME-LAPSE photography. This site has some simple ideas for beginners in time-lapse photography.
Do you like Wallace & Gromit, or Chicken Run? These are all great movies produced by using clay models and moving them by hand and filming it. This is known as CLAYMATION (or CLAYANIMATION). This website shows heaps of small claymation some teachers have created at a school.
This site is based around a webquest with links to heaps of animation sites and movies around the internet and around the home. If you get time try some of the activities.
Comic strips are what you find in the newspaper (usually they are about 3/4 of the way through - the best part of the paper I think). This webquest has links to comic strips on the net as well as some history of the comic strip in newspapers.
Pretty much what the title says, this site has information on various animation studios that created well known characters such as Mickey Mouse, Bugs Bunny, Scooby Doo and Homer J Simpson.
Digitalfilms.com - Make Your Own Movie
Check out how easy it is to make your own animation. You don't need to download any complicated software (besides Flash 5 Player) and you just tell it what you want to do. You are the director! It might even be a good way for you to storyboard your own animations!
This website claims to be "The Internet's Largest Searchable DataBase of
Cartoons,
Episode Guides and Crew Lists!" and it seems pretty comprehensive. Check
this out if you're looking for some info on a specific cartoon or even a
specific episode.
This cool little tool helps you organise all your still shots into an easy to use animation in gif format. Very cool.
